OSAGE – The groundbreaking for the new $2.2 million Mitchell County Historical Society Museum will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, at the new museum site at Cedar Valley Memories, located two miles west of Osage next to Mitchell County Conservation.
On hand will be historical society board members, county officials, and representatives from Morton Buildings, the general contractor for the work.
The museum has been housed at the Cedar River Complex for the past 14 years. Due to an expansion of the CRC’s wellness center, the museum will move to its new location in 2025.
The public is invited to attend the groundbreaking.
