The Adams Community Development Initiative-Childcare Committee held a Child Care Community Roundtable presented by Business of Child Care with the support of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation.

Attendees included local, county, and state civic leaders, parents, educators, and childcare providers.

Committee Members Jackie (Freund) Thompson, Lynnette Offen Gerber, and Angela McDermott Himebaugh have been working with the Business of Child Care with the support of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation to actively assess the needs and identify potential solutions to support childcare which includes evaluating current opportunities to create hosted spaces for childcare in the communities that make up the Southland School District.
