Anne Dvorak, 93

Anne Dvorak, 93, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024. Born on May 15, 1931, in Troy Mills, Iowa, to Ernie and Isabel (Fisher) Diltz, Anne grew up on a farm just outside of Troy Mills. She later moved to Cedar Rapids, where she pursued her passion for caregiving and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. It was during her time working at Cedar Rapids Hospital that she met and married Bob Fuller. Together, they had one son, Bill, before Bob’s untimely death during the Korean War.

Anne later married Vic Dvorak, and together they raised their five children on a farm near Hayfield, Minnesota. After their divorce in 2001, Anne moved to Colorado, where she shared a home with Jim Fisher until his passing in 2015. She then returned to Austin, Minnesota, where she lived with her daughter April and son-in-law Mark.

A lifelong card player, Anne found joy in games of Bridge and 500, playing at the Hormel Home, the Senior Citizen Center, or simply at home with friends and family. Anne was known for her steadfast nature; she stood firm in her beliefs with a quiet strength that reflected her stoic spirit.

Her heart belonged to her dogs, JJ and Buddy, and she shared a special bond with her “adopted” dogs, Bear and Lexi. Above all, Anne’s love for her family was unwavering. She cherished every moment with them, whether she was watching them swim, cradling her grandchildren, or simply sharing laughter and stories.

Anne’s deep faith in God was central to her life. Her legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will live on through those she leaves behind: her son, Bill Fuller; son, David Dvorak; daughter, Beth (Kevin) Feine; daughter, April (Mark) Aase; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Perez; brother, Pete (Katy) Diltz; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Ernie Diltz; daughter, Amy Sibet; son-in-law, Reed Sibet; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Fuller.

A memorial service celebrating Anne’s life will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 27th at Crane Community Chapel in Austin, Minnesota with Pastor Dale Christiansen officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is assisting with arrangements.
