The No. 14 seeded Hayfield volleyball team took care of business when it handled No. 19 Schaeffer Academy (4-20 overall) by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-21 in a Section 1A tournament opener in Hayfield Monday night.
Alexys Swygman and Jenna Christopherson each had eight kills for the Vikings (6-18 overall).
“My girls were very focused and ready to take care of business tonight,” Hayfield head coach Samantha Furman said. “We had the least amount of unforced errors tonight of all of our games this season, which is something we’ve really been working on since day one. It was great to get a W for our last home game of the season.”
Hayfield will play at No. 3 Alden-Conger at 7 p.m. Thursday.
