I have recently seen an increase in the community of Austin coming out to help those in need. The community of Austin has come together significantly over the last several years to provide for their community. I recently want to bring light and attention to Hormel donating turkeys to the community. This highlights the service to people that the community is dedicated to. I want to take a moment to talk about all of the services that are available in our community for things such as food insecurity and mental health services. I believe that highlighting the importance of human relationships in such an adverse time in our society can be so important in fostering the dignity and worth of a person. I want to urge those in the community who provide these services to make themselves known and continue to foster relationships with those in the community who may not know the services that can be provided and are available in Austin and surrounding communities.
