The Hayfield-Scheffer Academy girls basketball team bounced back from a five-point halftime deficit to beat Southland 67-61 in Adams Monday.

Jenna Christopherson poured in 30 points for the Vikings (2-1 overall), who trailed 29-24 at the half. Juliette Matheis paced Southland with 24.

“This was a fun game and the fans were treated to a couple outstanding individual offensive performances,” Viking head coach Kasey Krekling said. “It was nice to see our girls dig deep and pull out a win in front of a large Southland crowd.”
