The Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy girls basketball team suffered a tough loss at the buzzer when they fell to Triton (13-2 overall) 65-63 in Hayfield Tuesday.

The Cobras won the game when Rainey Dobbs converted a floating reverse lay-up as time expired.

“This was a tough loss as we played right with a very good team and to see a shot go in like that to end the game was gut wrenching,” HSA head coach Kasey Krekling said. “We need to find a way to finish off these close games with a win.” 

Betsy Gillette scored 19 points for HSA (7-7 overall).
