Time for another go.

January is the month to nominate a family or a person for the annual Pay It Forward bathroom remodel.

Each year a story is chosen from these nominations for the annual project that volunteers literally hammer out within a week’s time.

The nomination period goes through Jan. 31, with walkthroughs of finalists taking place the following week. The project recipient will likely be announced around Feb. 6-7, with the project week starting on March 17. 

Those being nominated must own the house they live in and be a resident of Mower County. Submissions can be made via the Pay It Forward website at www.payitforwardtng.org or mailed to PIF 2025, PO Box 442, Austin MN. Submissions should include an essay of 500 words telling the story of the person or family being nominated and explaining why help is needed or why they should be helped.

Nominators are asked to submit pictures of the bathroom in question.
