Leota E. Fimon, 81

Leota Erma Fimon, 81, died Friday, March 28, 2003.

She was born May 20, 1921, in Spring Valley, and grew up on a farm in Frankford township.

On Nov. 19, 1939, she married Rodney John Fimon in Waterloo, Iowa. Rodney and Lee lived in Austin until 1985, when they moved to Port Richey, Fla. In 2001, they moved back to Austin.

Lee enjoyed doing needlecraft work, writing in her daily journal and participating in her weekly card club. She enjoyed animals, especially dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Marge, Ackley, Iowa; Allen and Nancy, Austin; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Service: 11 a.m. memorial service, Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor Greg Mannel officiating.
