Reading is something that many of us take for granted.

However, area parents (and others) can help local youths by taking time out of their busy schedules to read to them.

Many local schools are participating in "Read Across America" programs. It's an opportunity for youths to get away from the world of television and video games. As a result, we encourage parents and others to be involved in reading to our area students.
