Riverland students will show off their musical gifts Sunday at the 4th Annual Riverland Community College Variety and Talent Show.
The show raises money for music scholarship and for the Riverland choir trip to New York City this spring.
About two-thirds of the participants Sunday are choir students, but other Riverland students also are performing.
"As far as music goes it's all kinds of stuff," said Scott Blankenbaker, Riverland music instructor.
The Riverland choir and briars students will be performing selections ranging from classical to country. Local "garage" bands will perform. Most students are performing one song, Blankenbaker said.
The Riverland choirs will travel to New York City in April to perform at the National Community College Choral Festival. The performance will take place at Carnegie Hall.
Tickets for the show are $7 for adults and $3 for students. They are available from choir students or at the door.
The show begins at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Frank W. Bridges Theatre and will last an hour and 15 minutes.
