The Austin softball team ended its three game losing streak by getting its bats going in an 8-6 win at Albert Lea (1-6 overall) Thursday.
The Packers (2-3 overall, 2-3 Big Nine) racked up all eight of their runs in fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
“We really got our bats going and this is what we’ve been looking for,” Austin head coach Tina Strauss said.
Albert Lea opened the first inning by scoring four times to take an early lead.
“We showed a lot of character and we battled back,” Strauss said.
