One man is in custody and two other suspects may be charged in connection with a "shopping spree."
The 44-year-old Austin man in custody told an Austin Police Department investigator he found a woman's billfold, containing cash, driver's license and credit cards.
An employee of Methodist Hospital in Rochester reported her billfold stolen from her purse left at a work station Wednesday, according to the Austin Police Department report.
Austin police were called to Oak Park Mall, where an adult male and two companions had purchased items at Younker's with the stolen identification, but were stopped when they attempted to purchase items at the Footlocker Store and Kay Jewelers.
The three suspects were apprehended at the Big Kmart Store, where they had also purchased items with the stolen identification and were attempting to purchase a television set, according to the police report.
