Medford gets GM girls, 57-38

The Grand Meadow girls' basketball team began the second half of the season by hosting a non-conference match up against Medford on Friday night, but came up short with a home town crowd looking on as they fell 57-38 to the Tigers.

Four Superlarks provided 36 of the 38 points for the night. Cassie Fay led the team in scoring with a game-high of 12 points. Sarah Holm netted nine points, Nickole Stier contributed eight, while Sam

Inglebret added seven. Brynn Hanken delivered two points to round out the scoring.

Medford shot 11-21 from the free-throw line, while Grand Meadow went 6-13. Twelve of the Tigers' 38 points came from beyond the three-point line. The Superlarks made no baskets from that distance.

Grand Meadow will travel to Alden on Tuesday to spend some court time against the Alden-Conger Knights in a non-conference dual.
