Basketball season is in full swing. And this weekend, even the tots can get into the action.

The local Elks lodge will host the annual Hoop Shoot at noon Sunday in the Austin High School gymnasium. The contest is open to those who will be between the ages of eight and 13 as of April 1, 2003. For information, call the Elks lodge at 437-4020 or Craig Jurgensen at (507) 460-0355.

The Mower County Red Cross will be conducting an introduction to disaster training session from 8 a.m. to noon at the LeRoy High School Media Center. To find out about registering or other information, call the Mower County Red Cross at 437-4589.
