Quinn Ellingson and Willie Granholm each scored two goals to get the Austin

boys' hockey team back on the winning track with a 10-7 over Hopkins in the

third-place game of the Granite City Classic Saturday night in St. Cloud.

Ellingson added an assist as Austin rebounded from a semifinal loss to St.

Cloud Cathedral. The Crusaders eventually lost in the tournament finals to

St. Cloud Tech, 9-3.

The Packers (5-3, 3-0) play Thursday night against Rochester Century at the

Rochester Rec Center at 7:30 p.m. in a highly anticipated Big Nine

Conference clash.

Vikings find going tough at JWP Rotary Invite

Hayfield's boys' team finished fourth at the JWP Rotary Invite, falling to

the host Panthers 62-60 in Saturday's final round. The Vikings (3-5) play at

Cannon Falls Thursday night in a Hiawatha Valley League match.
