Andrew W. Lamb, 68

Andrew was born April 23, 1943, in Austin, Minn., the son of Arthur and Hazel (Warrens Weber) Lamb. He graduated from Austin High School and served in the Army. Following his period of enlistment, Andy returned to Minnesota where he was married and lived in the Kenyon area. He later divorced and moved to the southern states where he worked selling antiques and traveling to exhibits at shows and flea markets. He moved back to Minnesota and lived in St. Cloud until 2007, when he moved to Kasson where he was able to live near his son’s family.

Andrew enjoyed spending time with his family and telling stories. He also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. Over the years, he developed his talents as an artist and made drawings of children at the churches he attended in Kasson and Dodge Center. He also did a number of drawings of eagles after viewing the “eagle cam” this past winter while he observed the hatch and development of the eagle chicks in north Iowa.

Andrew was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; David and Michelle Johnson of Kasson, Minn., Rick and Tarah Johnson of St. Paul; grandchildren, Tyler and Allison Johnson of Kasson; father and stepmother, Arthur and Grace Lamb of Brownsdale, Minn.; stepsisters and stepbrothers, Linda (Dave) Christensen of St. Cloud, Minn., Scott (Kari) Weber of Austin, Roy (Anne) Weber of Iowa, Brenda (Kevin) Sabin of Austin, Alice (Charles) Marks of Austin, Mary (Bill) Guggisberg of Freeborn, Minn., Charles (Pam) Lamb of Annandale, Danallia (Lynn) Davis of Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Ron Barnett officiating. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
