Seven guns, 10,000 rounds of ammo missing from Austin home

Austin Police officers are looking for seven guns and about 10,000 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition after a southwest Austin resident reported them stolen on Nov. 10.

According to the police report, the resident called the police department at 12:33 p.m. on Saturday and said his home was burglarized. The west garage door was reportedly open when the homeowner got there.

According to Police Chief Brian Krueger, the alleged stolen weapons are five long guns and two revolvers, along with the ammunition. The estimated value is $3,500 to $4,000.

Police have no suspects; however, they do not believe it is connected to Saturday night’s shooting that left five people injured near Lansing.
