Echo Lanes to host Special Olympics bowling

Mower County Special Olympics Bowling begins on Wednesday, Sept. 14 and will continue until April 18, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Echo Lanes in Austin. Athletes are able to choose whether to participate in bowling or attend three tournaments.

You can choose one of three different options below:

Participate in bowling only: Season cost:  $20 per member or $26 per non-member and weekly cost: $2.75 per game or $5.50 for 2 games.

Participate in bowling and the area 10  and/or Regional Bowling Tournaments: Season cost:  $35 per member or $47 per non-member and weekly cost:  $2.75 per game or $5.50 for 2 games.

Participate in bowling and all tournaments:  Season cost:  $60 per member or $78 per non-member and weekly cost: $2.75 per game or $5.50 for two games.

Area 10 Bowling Tournament — Sunday, Oct. 16, Southpark Lanes, Owatonna

Regional Bowling Tournament —‚ Sunday, Oct. 30, Treasure Island, Welch

State Bowling Tournament – Saturday, Nov. 12, Brunswick Zone, Lakeville. You must compete in the Area 10 Bowling Tournament if you want to attend the State Bowling Tournament.

Registration Deadlines

The registration form to participate in any tournaments is due by Wednesday, Sept. 21.  You may join Special Olympics bowling throughout the season at any time.

If you are new to bowling and plan on attending any tournaments, you will need to begin bowling on Sept. 14 so we can use your scores for tournament registration.

You will also need to complete an athlete application to participate in Special Olympics.

If you are a returning bowler and plan on attending any tournaments, we will use your previous years scores.
