ArtWorks Center moving forward

Construction on the ArtWorks Center is moving forward.

In fact, we are ready to start hosting some classes. Everyone enrolling in a class this summer will get a sneak preview of the space before it is officially complete.

The first class begins on July 7 with Uncork and Create taught by Krystal Lennie.

Enjoy some wine, follow the step-by-step instruction to recreate a featured painting, and leave class with a finished piece and a story to tell.

This is just one of the many classes scheduled throughout the summer and into early fall. The full schedule of classes and registration is available online at www.austinareaarts.org.

Through the new ArtWorks Center, ArtWorks Festival, and the Historic Paramount Theatre, the Austin Area Commission for the Arts strives to offer new and exciting activities for our community. Registration for classes and ticket revenue only covers a very small portion of our overall expenses.

Our programs would not be possible without additional financial support.

Gifts are accepted and appreciated at any time of the year, but we are currently seeking support for both the Center and the Festival. We have about $136,000 left to raise for the center, and we are just getting started gathering festival support.

Donations for both programs can be made online at austinareaarts.org or mailing a check to the AACA at 125 4th Ave NE, Austin, MN.
