The Austin boys soccer team controlled the tempo throughout as it beat Rochester Century (3-7-3 overall, 2-2-1 Big Nine) 2-0 in Art Hass Stadium Tuesday.

The Packers (11-1 overall, 5-1 Big Nine) scored each of their goals in the first 20 minutes as Jake Hagen-Erickson scored on an assist from Nick Brehmer and Francisco Torres drilled in a crossing pass from Omot Okello.

“Francisco had a very, very nice goal,” Austin head coach Jens Levisen said.

Austin finished with 27 shots and the Panthers had just a handful of shots as the played their defense back for most to the night.

“The kind of bunkered down and played some defense,” Levisen said.
