Austin tennis team tops Faribault
The Austin boys tennis team picked up a 7-0 win over Faribault at Paulson Courts in Austin Thursday.
David Koser, Max Coffey, Ethan Larson and Nick Brehmer all picked up their first varsity wins for the Packers (2-1 overall, 1-0 Big Nine).
Austin was missing three regular varsity players, but it didn’t miss a beat.
“All four (of the players getting their first win) played extremely well,” Austin head coach Tom Tauchnitz said. “We played a Faribault squad that was down in numbers this year and I felt our players did a great job of staying focused on good quality tennis.”
