The Austin girls golf team just missed out in a triangular at Mankato West Tuesday, hitting a team score of 377, just four strokes back from Mankato West who hit a 374.

Faribault was third with a 440.

Lauren Stasi and Caitlyn Stanley hit 92s for runner-up medalist honors. Steph Justice wasn’t far behind, shooting a 95 with Shannon Stutzman hitting a 98 and Kristine Snyder hitting 112. Sydney Irish had a 124 on the day.

The girls played well today,” coach Erik LaRock said.  “Steph Justice, Kristine Snyder, Lauren Stasi and Caitlyn Stanley had their lowest rounds of the year today.

“Lauren Stasi and Shannon Stutzman were not playing well on the front and had a couple difficult holes, but they battled back and played well on the back nine.”

Next up the Packers will be at the New Prague Invitational on Friday.
