Council could accept shelter’s plat review
The Austin City Council could throw the Mower County Humane Society a bone at its upcoming meeting next Monday.
Council members will vote to accept a preliminary plat review of the location for the humane society’s new shelter and a new city animal shelter located at the end of East Oakland Avenue, or what will eventually become 22nd Street SE. The council is also expected to approve a Development Agreement with MCHS.
In addition, the council will hold public hearings for Austin Police PERA funds for the Law Enforcement Center remodel, approve a wireless Internet installation at City Hall and a public review for the city’s flood renovation project.
Council members will review a sale of four Austin Utilities properties and discuss changes to next year’s budget during its work session, after the public meeting.
