K/W tops BP boys

The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team dropped its season opener to Kenyon/Wanamingo (1-0 overall) 50-23 in BP Tuesday.

The Awesome Blossoms (0-1 overall) trailed 20-0 to start the game and they shot just 23 percent on two-pointers.

“This was the first varsity action for many of the guys and there were some jitters,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “We will definitely improve as the year goes on.”

Cooper Nelson had 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead BP.
