I thought it would be fun for readers to take this test on the brain and see how much you know about your brain. I am always delivering you ideas and topic on fitness, but what about the brain?

Answers: (1) 3 pounds. (2) 100,000 miles (3) Throughout your life as long as your brain is mentally active. (4) 20 percent. (5) It can alter brain cells, structure and function. (6) The brain can distinguish between unexpected touch and your own touch. (7) 10-23 watts, enough energy to power a light bulb. (8) The brain kicks in so that the world doesn’t go dark during the blink. You blink about 20,000 times in a day. (9) 70,000. (10) 75 percent.

It is the 13th Annual YMCA 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 27, this fun fitness activity is geared towards the entire family and all proceeds will benefit Y programs that promote youth development. The race starts at 9 a.m. cost is $20 and after April 12 $25. This race is chip timed.
