Foundation gift funds new refrigerator at childcare center

Funding provided by the Austin Area Foundation has allowed the nonprofit Catherwood Home Child Care to purchase a new, energy-efficient refrigerator with a large freezer compartment.
The purchase by Catherwood Home, which is owned and operated by the Parenting Resource Center in Austin, replaced an inefficient, upright freezer from the 1970s.
The Catherwood Home serves 30 to 50 children each year.
