Independence Party to hold caucus Feb. 7
The Independence Party of Minnesota will hold an area caucus in Rochester on Feb. 7.
There will be four caucus locations throughout the First Congressional District — Jeffers, Mankato, Rochester and Fairmont. Those who want to take part in the caucus but are unable to get to a caucus location can participate online at www.mnip.org. The website will have additional participation instructions on Feb. 7.
The caucus, which selects the 2012 candidates, will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
“Caucuses are a great place to get involved in the political system and to have your voice heard,” said Minnesota Independence Party chairperson Mark Meyer in a news release. “I invite anyone who feels there is a need for new political leadership to attend the caucus nearest to you.”
