Two injured in crash
A 71-year-old Austin man was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin Monday afternoon after crashing into another vehicle.
Gerald Anderson suffered neck and shoulder pain after the collision, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.
Krueger said Anderson was heading north on Second St. NW as Jeremy Johnson, 39, of Austin, was heading east on Fourth Ave. NW. Anderson reportedly pulled out of the intersection and Johnson collided with his 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Johnson said he was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision.
The police report was not clear on whether the men were wearing seatbelts, Krueger said.
No citations have been issued.
