Jane Sievertsen, 94, of Chatfield, Minnesota, formerly of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at the Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, Minnesota.

Jane Cora Dalen was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Sargent, Minnesota, to Oscar and Stena (Kyllo) Dalen. She attended country school and was a 1941 graduate of the Austin High School in Austin, Minnesota. After high school, Jane worked at Hormel until 1945. On Nov. 18, 1945, Jane was united in marriage to Hermes Sievertsen in Austin. Together they farmed until 1978, when they moved into Grand Meadow. Jane loved to travel throughout the United States, sew and take care of her family. She was a member of the Mothers Card Club for over 50 years and was also a member of the Circle for Grand Meadow Lutheran Church. In 2006, Jane moved into Meadows Assisted Living in Grand Meadow and since 2012, she was a resident of the Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.

Jane is survived by her daughters: Sandra (John) Rehse of Alma, Wisconsin, Linda (Lonny) Berge of Chatfield, Minnesota, and Susan (Jery) Jacobson of Kasson, Minnesota; six grandchildren: Kari Peterson, Neil Peterson, Brent Berge, Renae Keller, Jodi Giesen, and Jeremy Jacobson; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Stene; husband, Hermes in 1980; brother, Olgar; sister, Olive; and great-grandchildren: Cole and Cash.

Special thanks to Chosen Valley Care Center and Seasons Hospice for all the wonderful care she received while living there.

Funeral services for Jane Sievertsen will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, at the Grand Meadow Lutheran Church with Pastor Beth Krolak officiating in Grand Meadow, Minnesota. Burial will take place in the Grand Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, at the Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow and one hour prior to the service at the church.
