Little Texas

America’s favorite rockin’ country band Little Texas is hitting the Historic Paramount Theatre at 7:30 p.m. this Friday as part of their 25th anniversary tour.

Being the only Minnesota stop on their tour, this will be the first time the band has played at the Paramount, and the first time the Paramount has hosted a huge country act.

Little Texas was created in Nashville in 1988 by a group of guys in their early 20s.

Known as “the hardest-working band in country music,” the band has played more than 300 shows a year across the United States and Canada. Their first radio release was “Some Guys Have All the Love,” and it became a top-10 hit.

Their second album release was their biggest and featured three No. 1 hit singles: “What Might Have Been,” “God Bless Texas” and “My Love.” They broke a country music history record when they had three different songs on three different charts with three different lead singers at the same time.

After a hiatus following their mid-90s success, the band returned to the airwaves in 2007 and has been touring regularly ever since.

Little Texas features four original members: Duane Propes on bass and vocals, Porter Howell on lead vocals and guitar, Dwayne O’Brien on vocals and rhythm guitar, and Del Gray on drums.

Their music has been timeless, played on hundreds of television programs including Good Morning America, American Idol, and HBO’s True Blood.
