Police investigate student death at UMN
MINNEAPOLIS — Authorities are investigating the death of a student found unresponsive Friday in his campus apartment at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
Hennepin County sheriff’s deputies, the medical examiner and campus police are investigating the death at Roy Wilkins Hall.
University spokesman Chuck Tombarge says the student was found unresponsive in his room sometime before 8 a.m. Tombarge says emergency responders were not able to resuscitate him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tombarge says there is no visible indication any crime took place.
