Man charged with shooting victim, igniting fire in Minn.

LITTLE FALLS, Minn. — A Hutchinson man is charged in a fatal shooting which investigators say he tried to cover up by setting a mobile home on fire.

Thirty-six-year-old Jason Ray Dominguez is accused of killing 30-year-old Dustin Brown in a fight over money. A criminal complaint says Dominguez, his girlfriend and three children paid Brown a visit at his mobile home in Little Falls. It says Dominquez then drove back to Hutchinson, got a handgun, returned to Brown’s home and shot him seven times before starting the house on fire early Monday.

WJON reports the complaint says Dominguez’s girlfriend led investigators to where Dominquez had buried the gun.

Dominguez is charged with second-degree murder and is being held in the Morrison County Jail.
