Herald staff playing video games for Gillette Children’s Hospital
The Herald staff has collected more than $375 from friends and community members for our 24-hour video game marathon this Saturday, Oct. 15, and we need your help. We’d like to hit our goal of $500 for the Extra Life charity by 8 a.m. Saturday and we would appreciate any help from local residents.
We’ll be playing a lot of online games, from “Castle Crashers” and “X-men” to “Bulletstorm,” “NCAA Football 12” and, possibly, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.” for the Children’s Miracle Network, specifically Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul.
We’ll be posting what games we’re playing and interacting with our readers on our Facebook and Twitter page while we play from 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday.
Please stop by the Herald Friday to donate or go here.
Your contributions could help Austin children, as well as children statewide, get the quality health care they deserve.
