Get to know: Hannah Voogd
Austin High School soccer forward Voogd talks about passion for her sport
Q: How did you originally get into your sport?
A: I started off as a gymnast, and I had a coach named Molly. I was 6 at the time, and she somehow convinced my mom to sign me up for soccer. Ever since I scored my first goal I’ve had a special love for the game!
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: My favorite memory was when we beat Albert Lea for the first time in seven years.
Q: What have you learned from playing sports?
A: Respect. That is probably the most important lesson I’ve learned from playing sports.
Q: What is the hardest part about your sport?
A: Keeping a solid mental state of mind and running. Definitely running.
Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?
A: Hope Solo is my role model because she’s been through so much in her life, and she’s fought battle after battle; and she’s still an amazing player with an amazing personality.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: “How I Met Your Mother.”
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: Science.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: My dream job is to be a pharmycist.

A: HuHot!
