HAYFIELD — The Hayfield girls basketball team beat Byron (10-12 overall, 4-7 HVL Gold) 57-36 at home Tuesday.

Senior guard Alyssa Selk poured in 23 points for the Vikings (11-12 overall, 5-6 HVL Gold), who led 39-15 at the break.

“It’s the best we’ve played all year and hopefully we’ll pick up some momentum heading into the tournament,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said.
