Man arrested for hitting roommate with chair
A 27-year-old Austin man was arrested Saturday after allegedly breaking a chair over his roommate’s back.
Sebit Lokori faces a possible second-degree assault charge after police responded to a residence at the 900 block of Fourth Avenue NE, according to police.
A 33-year-old man reported Lokori hit him in the face and threw him to the ground. After throwing a beer bottle at the victim and missing, Lokori allegedly hit the victim on the back with a black metal chair, breaking the chair. The victim told police he went outside and called for help.
According to a report, the victim told police he was minding his own business when Lokori allegedly assaulted him but said alcohol may have been a factor.
The case has been forwarded to the Mower County Attorney’s office.
