Bismarck edges out Bruins
The Austin Bruins hung close, but they couldn’t pull it off in a 3-1 loss at Bismarck (17-8-1 overall) Saturday.
Sam Olson pulled Austin (8-16-1 overall) to within 2-1 with a powerplay goal with 55 seconds left in the third period, but the Bruins couldn’t get the tying goal as they were held to 14 shots the rest of the way.
Bismarck, which scored on an empty netter with 29 seconds left in the game to make it 3-1, had 40 shots.
Bruins goalie Eamon McAdam stopped 37 of the 39 shots he saw in the net.
