Commissioners to accept bids for remodel
The county board is about to take a big step forward for the remodel of the Mower County Government Center and Law Enforcement Center.
At Tuesday’s county board meeting, the board and city of Austin officials will accept bids for the construction work.
The board already hired Knutson Construction as project manager and Paul Johnson Architects to work on the project.
The roughly $5.4 million remodel will move Health and Human Services from Oak Park Mall. It will update the LEC, which is being paid jointly with the city.
The meeting starts with a 8:30 a.m. department report from Auditor-Treasurer Doug Groh, and then the 9 a.m. Human Services report. The regular meeting opens at 9:30 a.m.
