GMLOS girls take first in Hayfield track invite

The Grand Meadow/LeRoy/Ostrander girls track and field team took first and the boys took second at the seven-team Hayfield Invite Thursday.

The Hayfield girls finished second and their boys where fifth, the Lyle/Pacelli girls were fifth and their boys were seventh and the Blooming Prairie girls took sixth and their boys were third.

Danielle Hanson took first in the 100-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles for the GMLOS girls, Elizabeth May was first in the 400-meter dash and the triple jump, Betsy Oswald took first in the 200-meter dash and Morgan Schmitz took first in discus.

Madison Heydt took first in the 100-meter dash and the long jump for the Hayfield girls and Courtney Severson took first in the 800-meter run.

Maya Ebeling took first in shot put for L/P’s girls.

For Hayfield’s boys, Sam Freiheit took first in the 800-meter run, Michael Kuehn took first in the 3200-meter run and Caleb Tindal took first in shot put and discus.

Colton Scherer took first in the triple jump and the long jump for the L/P boys.

Cody Jones took first in the 110-meter hurdles for the GMLOS boys.

For Blooming Prairie, Andrew Grant took first in the 1600-meter run and Michael Thomas took first in the 400-meter dash
