The Music Man Square presents annual holiday show

The Music Man Squard, in Mason City, Iowa, will present its third annual holiday premier of “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20.

The 1912 Streetscape will be adorned with vintage animated figures and holiday displays.  Many of the animated pieces, dating from the 1940’s and 1950’s  have previously been part of Christmas window displays in major department stores in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, St. Louis and other major cities across the country.

Christmas trees, greenery and décor throughout The Music Man Square will be reminiscent of the nostalgia and warm memories of Christmases past.

Musical entertainment will be provided by “Betty and the Gents.”

hors d’doeuvres will be featured in the form of buffet stations.

A Christmas Giving Tree will be displayed, and guests are invited to bring non-perishable food items for the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank to place under the tree.

Proceeds from the event support The Music Man Square’s Adventures In Music Fund, providing year around music programming for young students.

Tickets are $50 per person and tables of eight guests may be sponsored for $350.

Tickets are available at The Music Man Square, 308 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Mason City or by phone at 641-424-2852. Tickets can also be purchased at Hy-Vee East, North Iowa Community Credit Union, or online at themusicmansquare.org.
