Show includes a song-writing seminar before

Minneapolis singers are making sure Austin music lovers are getting the most out of her tour stop on Oct. 5.

From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. the day of the show, Scott along with Grammy-award winning, platinum song writer and guitarist Kevin Bowe will be holding a song-writing seminar at Riverland Community College in the east building, room 102.

The seminar is part of the Arts Tour Minnesota Grant Scott and her band received from the Minnesota State Arts Boards for a seven-stop Minnesota tour.

Scott and Bowe will play a few songs and then go over the applied process to song writing; however, a majority of it will be a question and answer period.

“I would rather talk about what people want to know,” Scott said. “We want to be pretty straight with people; it’s not a cakewalk, but we still want to encourage.”
