Alexandra Clasen and Eric Sherman

David and Leanne Clasen of Austin, Minn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexandra Clasen, to Erik Sherman, son of Mark and Debbie Sherman of Austin, Minn.

Alexandra graduated from Austin High School in 2007 and was a 2011 graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Bioproducts Engineering. Alex works as an associate R&D engineer with The Bergquist Company in Chanhassen, Minn.

Erik graduated from Austin High School in 2004 and was a 2009 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – River Falls where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Marketing. Erik works as a sales account manager with Augusoft in Minneapolis.

The bride’s grandparents include the late James and Jean Clasen, James and Jane Hartson, Nancy and the late Joseph Beckon, and great-grandmother, Evalyn Hartson. The groom’s grandparents include Gary and Terryl Sherman, and Darlene and the late Donald Aakre.

The wedding is planned for June 14, 2014, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Michael Olmsted officiating. They will reside in Maple Plain, Minn.
