More soldiers to arrive in Austin, Albert Lea on Friday

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Austin and the 1135th Transportation Company Family Readiness Group are announcing the scheduled return of another wave of National Guard soldiers.

Most of these soldiers were attached to the Albert Lea guard unit for this deployment. Forty-four soldiers are expected to arrive at the Albert Lea Armory at 12:20 p.m. Friday, and another nine at the Austin Armory at 1 p.m.

Having completed demobilization activities at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, these soldiers will arrive at Minnesota Air Guard Wing in St. Paul on May 4 and make their way toward Owatonna, Albert Lea and Austin.

Most of the arrivals have been ahead of schedule as the soldiers have been loading and unloading quickly for all of their stops, and at least two sets of flights have been ahead of schedule. Beyond the Yellow Ribbon will also post arrival updates to its Facebook page.
