An Austin man who led police on a foot chase after allegedly pistol-whipping and choking a woman has been charged in Mower County District Court.

Alfredo Jessie Rosillo, 31, faces 10 felonies, including firearm violations, burglary, assault and drug possession allegations.

Rosillo allegedly beat and pistol-whipped a woman during an argument in the 1500 block of Fifth Street SE Tuesday evening. The woman told police he “freaked out and beat the (crap) out of me,” court documents indicate

Rosillo reportedly shot his .22 handgun once in her living room, three times in her garage and three times in her car during the altercation.

The woman told officers she was in the driver’s seat of the car when Rosillo said he was trying to shoot the gas tank.

The woman said he kicked in her front door after she made him leave once and stole $50 from her purse.

Rosillo had just left the woman’s house when Austin police arrived. K9 Ghost was brought to the scene to track Rosillo. He was located in waist-high grass in the 1500 block of Eighth Street SE after the dog tracked his scent through several backyards, according to a court complaint. During the search, Ghost located a bag of crystals that later tested positive as 5.5 grams of meth.

Rosillo would not willingly show his hands when officers found him, so Ghost was sent in to apprehend him and bit him once, Police Chief Brian Krueger said.

The woman told officers Rosillo is in the Mexican Mafia and was going to kill her; she also said he mentioned being involved in a recent Mankato murder.

According to court documents, Rosillo has previously been convicted in four counties of multiple drug crimes, terroristic threats and domestic assault. He was on pretrial release on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm when he was arrested Tuesday.

Rosillo is scheduled to enter his plea on July 7.
