Board to set ’13 salaries

The county board is getting a start on 2013.

The board is scheduled to set next year’s salaries for many county officials during its Thursday board meeting, including the salaries for county attorney, sheriff, recorder, auditor-treasurer, commissioners and non-union employees.

The meeting will be the final for 16-year Commissioner Ray Tucker, who lost his bid for re-election in November to Polly Glynn.

The meeting opens with a department report for Public Works Director Mike Hanson at 8:30 a.m., and general business begins at 9:30 a.m.
