Diabetes program begins, will run 6 weeks

By Sara Schafer

Mower County Senior Center

We have started the next six-week session of Living well with Diabetes.

Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. they are meeting and there is still room to get in if you would like. There is no cost for this training.

If you live with diabetes and would like to improve your health and sense of well-being, this class is for you. Participants make weekly action plans, share experiences and help each other solve problems as they carry out their self-management program.

Family members, friends and partners are welcome. For information or to register, stop by the Mower County Senior Center front desk or call 1-507-433-2370 to let us know you are coming.

Mother’s Day meal

At noon on Friday, May 10, we will host our Mother’s Day meal. We hope to see you there. If you would like to sign up, call us at the senior center to reserve your seat.

Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents. Tuesday we will be having tamale pie for $2. You are always welcome at the center.
