A scholarship fund has been established at Sterling State Bank in memory of Joe Lewison, a Pacelli High School senior from Rose Creek who died in January 2011 when his truck collided with a train. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Mower County Chapter 31199 will provide additional funding.

Donations can be made at any Sterling State Bank location, including Austin, Lyle, Rochester or the Twin Cities. The Lewison family hopes to fund scholarships for students at Pacelli and Southland, both schools Joe attended. Supplemental funds will apply to contributions made prior to April 30.
