Anyone turning 65 or going on Medicare will have a chance to learn about the program next week.

An ABCDs of Medicare class is 5:30-8 p.m. Sept. 18 and 25 at the Mower County Senior Center, 400 Third Ave. NE in Austin. The class will cover the parts of Medicare: hospital, medical and drug options, Medicare supplements, Medicare advantage plans, Part D prescription drug coverage, preventive benefits, Medicare savings programs, preventing fraud, waste and abuse and resources to help make decisions.

The instructor for the class is a certified State Health Insurance Program counselor with the Senior LinkAge Line.
