Rose Creek woman struck by bullet steadily improving
The condition of a Rose Creek woman who was accidentally shot in the head continues to improve, according to a Web page set up for the woman.
Maja Bazevic-Iverson, 26, was struck in the head by a stray .22 caliber bullet after a boy — who was shooting birds at the time — accidentally shot through a shed and struck Bazevic-Iverson, according to the Mower County Sheriff. The Mayo 1 helicopter rushed her to St. Marys where she had immediate surgery, according to Sheriff Terese Amazi.
The site has received more than 6,400 page views. Donation buckets for Blazevic-Iverson have been placed around Austin, a fund has been set up at Queen of Angels Church and “Maja” bracelets will soon be available to support her, as well.
